About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join an EPCM client of ours in the Perth CBD. In this role, you will play a crucial part in a PES (Production Enhancement Study) project focused on sustaining future ore production.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following:

• Progress Claims: Prepare progress claims and ensure that all variation works have been incorporated into project documentation.
• Tender Management: Ensure timely and effective preparation and evaluation of tenders, negotiate with tenderers, and make recommendations based on your assessments.
• Commercial Administration: Provide general commercial administration and advisory support, including contract closeouts and issuing awards of contracts as needed.
• Quantification and Costing: Quantify and cost the current work scope and future construction work, including quantity take-off and preparing bills of quantities.
• Communication: Maintain consistent communication channels with the wider project team and the project manager to effectively manage change and mitigate risks.

Key Criteria

• Relevant qualification in contracts and procurement, supply chain management, business, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in Quantity Surveyor position, preferably within the mining and resources environment.
• Sound working knowledge of project management principles and project controls methodologies.
• Experience in the preparation, quantification, negotiation, and close-out of contract claims.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the wider project teams.
