About the Role

If you are looking a challenging and fulfilling job where you can have a substantial impact on Site Safety, this opportunity will allow you to work on a flagship renewable project with a 2:1 Site roster.

Key Criteria

As the successful candidate for the role of Safety Superintendent, you will meet the following criteria:

• Design, maintain, and deliver internal training programs related to OHS.
• Collaborate on and submit all necessary reports, both internal and external, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance reports.
• Assist employees in applying risk management practices and developing and implementing appropriate control measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and manage workplace risks.
• Enhance business performance by reviewing, developing, and maintaining the OHS Management System and performing regular audits to ensure operational compliance.
• Contribute to the creation of goals, targets, and objectives for the OHS department to align with the strategic plan of the Sustainable Development department.
• Aid site operations in integrating and upholding our Critical Hazard Standards management system.
• Oversee and manage the preparation, communication, and implementation of safety initiatives, OHS performance metrics, and management plans.
• Facilitate thorough investigations of significant incidents, devise strategies to prevent recurrence, and manage incident reviews.
• Extensive demonstrated experience in OHS in an operational setting with a strong working knowledge of OHS, risk management, emergency response and injury management in the resources sector.
• Collaboration as an integral member of a multifunction team management team.
• Tertiary degree in OHS or related discipline.
