Senior Electrical Engineer Resources (Mining)
Monday to Friday
6-Month Contract (Possible Extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Perth CBD Based
$115 - 120 p/h Incl Super
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a brownfield sustaining capital project for a tier-one mining client. The role will join a high-performing project delivery team during the late stages of detailed design, with the project now well into the execution phase. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in finalising key design deliverables and supporting construction interfaces. This position is based in Perth's CBD with occasional flexibility available after onboarding.
Key Requirements
• Minimum 7 years' post-graduate experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally within EPCM or engineering service provider environments
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, meeting Professional Engineer level under the national engineering body
• Proven experience across all phases of project delivery from study through to execution
• Strong knowledge of HV distribution design including SLDs, schematics, and layout drawings
• Familiarity with brownfields project environments in mining or heavy industrial sectors
• Sound understanding of relevant Australian standards and electrical compliance
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to operate in a team-based environment
• Detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams
Responsibilities
• Deliver electrical design support for HV systems as part of a large sustaining capital project
• Finalise and review engineering deliverables including design documents, calculations, and technical packages
• Work closely with construction, procurement, and vendor teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Assist with commissioning planning, including response to RFIs and site technical queries
• Ensure all work adheres to applicable engineering standards and project safety requirements
• Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and risk workshops as needed
• Provide guidance and support to junior engineers when appropriate
