This Perth-based opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in the delivery of major minerals processing projects across the lithium, gold, nickel, and mineral sands sectors. Working within a collaborative EPCM environment, you'll contribute to the FEED and detailed design phases, guiding junior engineers and leading electrical design packages for high-profile resources clients.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic design team delivering multidisciplinary projects for the mining and minerals processing industry.

You'll be responsible for developing electrical engineering deliverables across multiple projects, coordinating with internal design disciplines, and ensuring all technical and quality standards are met. This role suits an engineer with a strong design background and the ability to manage scopes of work independently while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering excellent exposure to tier-one projects, a central Perth location, and the chance to work with a well-established EPCM consultancy.

Benefits
  • 12 month initial contract with strong likelihood of extension / Perm
  • Competitive market rate (Up to $135 p/h incl super)
  • Perth CBD office location
  • Work on a diverse portfolio of lithium, gold, mineral sands, and nickel projects
  • Involvement across FEED and detailed design stages
  • Mentoring and leadership opportunities within a high-performing engineering team

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with 810+ years' experience
  • Proven experience delivering design packages within minerals processing plants
  • Strong technical grounding in HV/LV design and power systems
  • Proficiency in ETAP, PowerCAD, and Ground Earthing software
  • Experience working within an EPCM or consulting environment
  • Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines

Desirable Skills
  • Prior experience on brownfields or sustaining capital projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
  • Familiarity with project delivery frameworks, quality systems, and HSE requirements

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical design and documentation through FEED and detailed design
  • Run and manage allocated packages of work to meet project timelines and quality standards
  • Perform electrical studies and system analysis using ETAP and PowerCAD
  • Liaise with internal design teams to ensure technical alignment across disciplines
  • Support engineering reviews including HAZOP, constructability, and quality checks
  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior team members
