About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a Perth-based project delivery team supporting a major oil & gas sustaining capital works program.
This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with proven brownfield project experience who thrives on mentoring others, delivering high-quality design work, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and review electrical design work to meet client and regulatory standards
- Mentor and support junior engineers, reviewing and checking their deliverables
- Manage multiple brownfield projects through all phases
- Perform and verify design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Lead or contribute to design reviews, HAZOPs, and safety workshops
- Interface directly with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Provide input into project estimates, scopes, and schedules
- Ensure safe, high-quality, and sustainable engineering solutions
- Coordinate with other disciplines and manage change control processes
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
- Extensive engineering experience in oil & gas or related industries
- Proven brownfield project delivery experience
- Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards
- Proficiency in electrical design (equipment sizing, cable routing, HV/MCCs, protection systems, drawings, etc.)
- Experience with hazardous areas, construction, and commissioning
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hazardous Area and/or TUV Functional Safety certification (desirable)
Other Requirements
- Must hold unrestricted Australian working rights for at least 6 years
