Location: Perth CBD
Work Type: Full-time | Office-based with flexible WFH after onboarding
Contract: 12 Months $120 p/h

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a Perth-based project delivery team supporting a major oil & gas sustaining capital works program.
This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with proven brownfield project experience who thrives on mentoring others, delivering high-quality design work, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and review electrical design work to meet client and regulatory standards
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, reviewing and checking their deliverables
  • Manage multiple brownfield projects through all phases
  • Perform and verify design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Lead or contribute to design reviews, HAZOPs, and safety workshops
  • Interface directly with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide input into project estimates, scopes, and schedules
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, and sustainable engineering solutions
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and manage change control processes

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
  • Extensive engineering experience in oil & gas or related industries
  • Proven brownfield project delivery experience
  • Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards
  • Proficiency in electrical design (equipment sizing, cable routing, HV/MCCs, protection systems, drawings, etc.)
  • Experience with hazardous areas, construction, and commissioning
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hazardous Area and/or TUV Functional Safety certification (desirable)

Other Requirements
  • Must hold unrestricted Australian working rights for at least 6 years
