About the Role
Our EPCM client is at the forefront of a major renewables project in Perth, and they are seeking an experienced Senior Expeditor to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely delivery of both engineered and non-engineered materials and equipment essential for project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all expediting activities, ensuring compliance with schedules and quality standards.
  • Organise and participate in kick-off meetings and supplier progress meetings.
  • Provide continuous updates on suppliers' progress against purchase order requirements, particularly delivery schedules.
  • Update expediting status, including milestones and progress updates, in material management system, Aveva ERM.
  • Review Vendor Package Progress Reports, identify delays, communicate with stakeholders, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Expedite the approval of Design Critical Documents to facilitate project milestones and fabrication start.
  • Ensure all sub-orders are placed on time to meet project schedules.
  • Monitor the fabrication process, address Witness/Hold Points, and issue Notices of Inspection (NOI).
  • Collaborate with engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery of specified services by suppliers and contractors.
  • Regularly interface with package and client teams.
  • Expedite the issuance of Inspection Release Certificates (IRC) and close any open punch list items.
  • Review vendor packing lists to ensure compliance with TMR/Contract requirements.
  • Issue Shipping Release Notes (SRN) upon completion of final inspections and receipt of all necessary shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure items are collected from the contract incoterm location.
  • Address and close out any identified OS&Ds with vendors.
  • Ensure all documents are approved, including MDR, and close out the package.

Key Criteria:
  • Strong commitment to HSE requirements in project environments.
  • University Degree in engineering, supply chain, quantity surveying/construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Extensive expediting experience in executing major projects within an EPCM/EPC organization.
  • Expertise in interpreting supplier schedules and identifying critical paths.
  • Proactive prioritization skills for complex multi-project situations.
  • Excellent communication skills to present proposals and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and persuade others effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with suppliers across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Autonomous work ethic with the ability to manage suppliers across various time zones.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes within the energy and construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of client standards and specifications for equipment and materials, including packaging and logistics compliance.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in monitoring documentation status.
  • Previous experience with project and procurement software systems (Aveva ERM, Requis, Aconex) is highly regarded.
