About the Role
As a Senior Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery and quality compliance of a diverse range of engineered and non-engineered materials and equipment essential for our major mineral sands project. This position demands extensive experience in complex procurement activities and logistics, particularly within the engineering, construction, energy, chemical, and resources sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage expediting activities for equipment and materials, ensuring schedule and quality compliance.
• Organise and participate in Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) and supplier progress meetings.
• Continuously monitor and update supplier progress towards delivery schedules in companies material management system, Aveva ERM.
• Review Vendor Package Progress Reports, identify delays, communicate with stakeholders, and develop mitigation plans.
• Expedite approval of Design Critical Documents for PIM/Fabrication start.
• Ensure timely placement of all sub orders in the Sub Supplier Index.
• Monitor fabrication, address Witness/Hold Points, and issue Notices of Inspection (NOIs).
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE, and quality teams for timely service delivery.

Key Criteria:

• Strong commitment to HSE requirements in project environments.
• University degree in engineering, supply chain, quantity surveying/construction management, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive expediting experience in executing major projects within EPCM/EPC organisations.
• Expertise in interpreting supplier schedules and analysing critical paths.
• Experience in supply chain and logistics management.
• Proactive in setting priorities for complex, multi-project, and organisational impacts.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to persuade and influence senior management and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers across multiple countries and time zones.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage suppliers across different time zones.
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes in the energy and construction sectors.
• Familiarity with client standards and specifications for equipment and materials, including packaging and logistics compliance.
• Attention to detail in monitoring documentation status.
• Previous experience with project and procurement software systems (Aveva ERM, Requis, Aconex highly regarded).
