An exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation Designer with experience working on minerals and resources projects. You will deliver instrument design services on both brownfield and greenfield projects.
You will be responsible for instrumentation design services, such as:
- Compile, assess, and verify instrument design deliverables
- Evaluate cross-functional team inspection documents
- Oversee junior designers at local and global levels
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System
Key Criteria
We are seeking those who can demonstrate a strong mix of the following skills and experience:
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience with Hexagon Smart Instrumentation desirable
- Experience with 3D modelling desirable
- Understanding of and ability to check instrument drawing office produced deliverables, such as block diagrams, hook-up drawings, termination diagrams, schematics, loops, fire and gas layouts, instrument layouts, cause and effects, cable schedules, MTO's, P&ID's, philosophies, specifications, and datasheets
- Professional practical knowledge of engineering codes and standards, design practices and design quality standards
- Experience in front-end design through to detailed design project phases
- Experience with DCS / PLC based control systems
- Sound understanding of networking and communications
