Senior Instrumentation Engineer

  • Portland, VIC
  • MondayFriday, site-based with hybrid flexibility
  • 12-month contract with career pathway
  • Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering degree

Role Opportunity
Deliver complex instrumentation and PLC-based control systems on a major brownfield project in the aluminium smelting sector. Reporting to the Department Manager Electrical & Instrumentation, you'll lead engineering execution and client interfacing from concept to commissioning.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Chemical
  • RPEV registration or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Proven experience with Rockwell PLC systems
  • Background in brownfield project environments
  • Exposure to industrial process facilities

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead instrumentation & control system design
  • Interface with Rockwell PLCs in brownfield settings
  • Support commissioning & construction phases
  • Manage documentation, datasheets, and evaluations
  • Mentor junior engineers & coordinate work packages
