About the Role:

Great opportunity to join our clients Mechanical team in a short term role with the potential of extension beyond initial engagement.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer with extensive background in Material handling or bulk storage design from a Mining Standpoint.

Duties:

• Modelling of various Mechanical equipment including but not limited to screw conveyors, screw feeders, bag breakers, ball chargers, etc
• Ensuring that compliance and regulatory standards are adhered to and fit for purpose.
• Working autonomously or collaboratively as required, you will be responsible for effective time management and achieving project deliverables as per schedule.
• Liasing daily with project managers, designers, engineers and clients to help drive successful outcomes.

• Key Criteria:
• Extensive experience mechanical design / drafting experience within the mining sector preferably in materials handling / minerals processing.
• Highly experienced utilising solid model design package, preferably solid edge.
• Sound written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work productively within a project environment and tight timeframes.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
