As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll take the lead in ensuring the successful delivery and completion of a large-scale, major mining infrastructure project. You'll join the project during the study to the detailed design phase, with the potential to stay on through to the execution phase.
Benefits
- 12-month initial contract (with strong potential for extension)
- Hourly rate of $96 - $116 including super (depending on experience)
- Tier 1 EPCM company with a strong portfolio of iron ore projects
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical or Civil
- Proven background in EPCM or ESP project delivery for WA mining companies
- Experience in rail (particularly heavy haul rail) and iron ore projects for clients such as RIO, BHP & FMG is highly regarded
- Experience in contributing to NPI, bulk earthworks, civils, and utilities highly regarded
- Previous experience in mining studies and detailed design is essential
- Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee design reviews and ensure interdisciplinary alignment
- Tackle complex design challenges and provide effective solutions
- Support cost estimation and monitor engineering timelines
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Contribute to weekly and monthly progress reports and liaise with vendors and key stakeholders
- Maintain project documentation, registers, and vendor documents
