Senior Systems / Electrical Engineer
  • Osborne Park, WA with site travel (short stints up to 1 week, approx. 12 weeks annually)
  • Electrical design, embedded systems, and software development focus

Role Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Systems / Electrical Engineer to join a well-established engineering solutions provider. This Perth-based position involves a mix of office and site-based work, focusing on electrical design, embedded systems, and software development for next-generation weighing and loading technologies. You'll play a key role in the design, development, commissioning, and support of systems delivered to leading resource and transport clients.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience
  • Proficiency in C or C++ programming
  • Experience with embedded hardware systems
  • Strong problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Valid driver's licence and Australian Permanent Residency
  • Professional, client-focused approach

Desirable Skills
  • Project management capability
  • Experience leading site-based trade staff
  • RPEQ certification (Electrical Engineering)
  • LabVIEW programming experience
  • PLC programming skills

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Contribute to electrical design and perform design validation checks
  • Collaborate with software engineers on new system applications
  • Maintain and enhance existing embedded hardware/software systems
  • Conduct testing, simulation, and commissioning of systems
  • Support tender preparation and generate technical documentation
  • Provide on-site technical support across Australia
  • Participate in after-hours client support on a rotating roster
  • Represent the company professionally when liaising with clients and contractors
