Structural Engineer - Civil, Structural & Project Management Consultancy
Location: Brisbane - Mining & Resources Sectors

About the Company:
A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy specialising in Civil, Structural, and Project Management services is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their growing team. The organisation delivers high-quality, efficient, and constructible engineering solutions across mining, industrial, commercial, and government projects.
The team prides itself on working closely with clients from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction, and lifecycle structural integrity support.
Position Overview:
This position requires a technically proficient Structural Engineer experienced in industrial, mining, and commercial structural design. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, certification, and delivery of a wide range of structural projects while ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards and client specifications.
The role involves a mix of office-based design and on-site support, providing an excellent opportunity to apply both analytical and practical engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform structural analysis, design, and certification for steel and concrete structures.
• Deliver design documentation for a variety of civil and structural projects.
• Conduct structural inspections, assessments, and integrity reviews across asset lifecycles.
• Provide construction phase support, including design clarifications and quality assurance.
• Undertake constructability and compliance reviews to improve project outcomes.
• Support concept development, feasibility studies, and detailed design deliverables.
• Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Projects - Mining & Industrial Projects:
• ROM walls, loadout facilities, and materials handling structures.
• Process plant and building infrastructure design.
• Structural integrity inspections and remediation planning.
• Drainage and services integration.
• Constructability and compliance assessments.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (accredited).
• 3-7 years of post-graduate experience in structural design.
• Proficient in structural analysis software such as SpaceGass, Strand7, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and design codes.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver constructible, compliant, and cost-effective designs.
• Experience within the mining or industrial sectors (preferred).
• CPEng or working towards chartered status (advantageous).
