CHPP Reliability Engineer
Titan Recruitment are partnering alongside a prominent Australian mining and resources firm in the pursuit of a talented CHPP Reliability Engineer. Our client is a vital part of a larger global conglomerate, renowned for its integrated infrastructure, energy, and transportation ventures, as well as its leadership in solar energy generation.
About the role
This role entails a FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) schedule on a 5/2 roster, with FIFO hubs conveniently situated in Townsville and Rockhampton. The project site is located in Central Queensland.
As the Mechanical Engineer, you'll report to the Operations Manager - CHPP. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing small sustaining capital projects and upgrades within the facility and interfacing infrastructure. You'll play a pivotal role in liaising with maintenance personnel to effectively manage and monitor maintenance strategies.

About the role

As the Mechanical Engineer, you'll report to the Operations Manager - CHPP. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing small sustaining capital projects and upgrades within the facility and interfacing infrastructure. You'll play a pivotal role in liaising with maintenance personnel to effectively manage and monitor maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise small-scale sustaining capital projects and upgrades, involving the management of subcontractors and collaboration with external engineering partners.
- Conduct analyses to enhance operational performance within the processing facility, including downtime assessments and failure investigations.
- Continually monitor and improve the performance of processing equipment.
- Actively participate in interfacing with maintenance personnel to oversee maintenance strategies and their effectiveness.
- Generate reports on facility operational and maintenance performance.
- Oversee the management of condition monitoring processes employed within the facility.
- Manage and monitor the operational performance of mobile equipment used within the processing facilities.
- Monitor the performance of diesel power generation equipment that supplies electrical power to the facility.
- Collaborate with the facility's operational team to plan and coordinate major shutdown and upgrade activities on-site.
- Undertake any additional tasks as directed by Management.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical, process, or electrical engineering (preferably mechanical).
- Showcase expertise in minerals processing infrastructure operations and maintenance, particularly in coal, metals, or bulk commodities.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in a similar work environment.
- Must have full working rights in Australia as we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. (Australian citizen or PR preferred).
- Current Coal Board Medical certification. (Desirable)
