Experienced Civil CAD Drafter to join a well regarded multi disciplined engineering consultant that focuses on the delivery of key infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, railways and urban precincts).

Qualifications & Skills

• Tertiary qualification; Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience as CAD Drafter
• Strong AutoCAD background, Microsoft suite and virtual meeting and collaboration tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom, SharePoint)
• Demonstrated understanding of civil infrastructure design standards and regulatory requirements, Main Roads WA (MRWA), Public Transport Authority (PTA), Water Corporation, and Local Government authorities.
• Excellent client service and communication skills, with a professional approach to building and maintaining relationships
• Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation
• Skilled in critical thinking and problem-solving
• Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and meet multiple project deadlines
• Able to work independently or collaboratively to deliver quality outcomes

Duties & Responsibilities

• The Experienced CAD Drafter will create, refine, and scale drawings and maps for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, railways, and urban developments using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• This role will manage allocated drafting resources to support the delivery of designs to specification, working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation and design records.
• Identify and recommend alternative design solutions that are cost-effective and innovative.
• Provide technical guidance and critical reviews to enhance project outcomes and client value.
• Manage documentation, drawings, and communications in accordance with company processes.
• Ensure engineering drawings comply with CAD standards and quality systems.
• Drive continuous improvement in workflows, processes, and CAD standards.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and identify opportunities to add value.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and team members
