About the role:Senior Project Manager opportunity to lead a portfolio of SMP sustaining capital projects ($5mil - $10mil value) across the mining and resource sectorsLeading company that provides services across major projects, sustaining capital, maintenance, asset integrity and shutdownsLeading a project team consisting of; Planner, 3 Project Engineers & Quality EngineerReview tender documents, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure completed tenders meet company standards.Analyze contracts and specifications to create a methodology and determine staffing needs to fulfill or surpass contract requirements.Ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials to align with the work schedule and contract stipulations.Participate in regular meetings with project staff, contractors, and client representatives to monitor project performance, communication, progress, and foster positive relationships.Collaborate with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to plan and execute work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate various construction phases to avoid delays.Inspect ongoing work to ensure it meets contract specifications and adheres to the construction schedule.Prepare or review progress reports, track materials used and costs, and adjust work schedules based on report findings.Manage project expenditures within budget, handle variations, and prepare claims for projects.Permanent staff role, parking provided and competitive salary offeredSouthern suburbs location. Attractive salary offeredKey CriteriaExtensive experience as a Project Manager for a contractor in the mining, construction, and oil & gas industries, with a successful track record of managing large projects valued at over $5 million.Ability to communicate plans effectively and confidently internally/externally (including negotiations).Experienced in leading and managing project teamsExperienced in managing sub contractors Strong budget control and variations order experience Proficiency in MS officeAbility to read and understand engineering plans, fabrication drawings and client specifications.Adapt to changing circumstances and challenges in a measured, constructive way.Understand and manage risks (mitigation plans).Excellent leadership and team skillsStrong stakeholder skillsAble to prioritise effectively.What's on OfferPermanent staff role and attractive salary offered• Free car parking.
