Civil Project Engineer with 5 years + experience to join a growing civil engineering business that offers end-to-end project delivery, project management and consultancy services. This hands on role will play a key role in the delivery of various civil infrastructure work packages across the Perth metro area.
Benefits
- Initial contract engagement with view to transfer to permanent staff.
- Role will be based on site delivering projects across Perth metro area
- Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7am - 5pm
- Competitive hourly rate offered. Strong portfolio of work.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Minimum 5+ years' experience, primarily site-based
- Strong background in civil contracting and delivery of civil works - roads, bridge repair, drainage, kerbing, earthworks etc
- Proven ability to run crews and manage projects autonomously
- Experience with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Office and AutoCAD
- Exposure to tenders and estimating highly regarded
- Strong subcontractor management and QA experience
- Confident communicator with solid stakeholder management skills
- Practical, proactive and willing to be hands-on onsite
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle to travel to site (Perth metro area)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver civil projects including roads, bridge repairs, drainage, kerbing and earthworks
- Supervise site crews and subcontractors
- Manage programme using MS Project
- Monitor budgets, variations and cost control
- Oversee QA documentation and compliance
- Coordinate stakeholders including clients, consultants and local authorities
- Assist with tenders and estimates where required
