Role Opportunity
Client side Civil Project Engineer to join its team immediately on a key gold mining project. This is a FIFO opportunity on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off FIFO roster. Ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic site-based environments and has prior owner side project engineering experience.
You'll be embedded on site and play a crucial role in delivering brownfield packages across the plant. Key initial projects include; bulk earthworks and concrete installation packages. In 2026, the role will transition into a generalist project engineering role and working closely with the SMP and Electrical Project Engineers.

Benefits
- Roster: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off from Perth, Brisbane or Darwin
- Competitive hourly rate offered
- 12 hours / day, half day on final day
- Initial 12 month contract
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years' experience as a Civil Project Engineer, ideally within gold or minerals processing plant project environments
- Client side background and site-based execution experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering brownfield projects
- Bulk earthworks and concrete install experience within a mining project environment
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent safety attitude
Duties & Responsibilities
- Interfacing directly with the client's operations and project management teams.
- Oversee project scopes including planning, procurement, contractor interface, and construction support.
- Ensure project delivery against scope, schedule, cost, and quality benchmarks.
- Support design coordination, site investigations, and construability assessments.
- Monitor contractor performance, attend progress meetings, and resolve on-site engineering queries (RFIs).
- Provide timely reporting on progress, risks, and technical issues to senior engineers and stakeholders.
- Champion site safety standards and ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
