To be considered a successful candidate you should possess the following.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least five years of relevant experience in systems/network engineering experience
• Strong coding, debugging, and troubleshooting skills across multiple programming languages.
• Experience with software development methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and evaluate current network systems, capacity, and performance
- Design, plan and develop network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, cloud and hybrid environments
- Configure and install network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, switches, and monitoring tools
- Implement security measures including intrusion detection, encryption protocols and patch management
- Monitor system integrity, perform troubleshooting, and resolve technical faults across enterprise systems
- Conduct regular audits of systems, including backup procedures and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT architecture, capacity planning and system migrations
- Document network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures for compliance and continuity
- Support lifecycle upgrades, including procurement, vendor evaluation, and deployment of new technology
- Advise on technology strategy, integration, and cost optimisation initiatives for infrastructure environments
