Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller for a 12-month contract on a major capital project. This role is ideal for a professional with proven experience in complex project execution within EPCM or EPC environments. You will be instrumental in driving robust cost control practices, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining alignment across key stakeholders.

Core skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction management, Quantity surveying or related field.
- Experience in project execution, preferably on major, complex projects using EPCM and/or EPC models.
- Proven ability in cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis including monitoring and reviewing cost engineering functions.
- Proficient in MSOffice, EcoSys and other cost related software.
- Intermediate understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start up work processes.
- Strong communication skills, effective problem solving and planning abilities, capable of collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage cost control for assigned capital packages, including budget allocation and reporting.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and forecasting using historical data, statistical methods and cost/ quantity comparisons.
- Prepare accurate cost data and reports for contracts, ensuring consistency and alignment with prior reports.
- Develop and allocate specific budgets from estimates to control budgets, following established standards and procedures.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cost monitoring and control systems, techniques and reporting tools.
- Coordinate with project and functional teams to ensure data accuracy, provide cost insights and support decision making on construction packages.
