About the role:

• Lead Civil Engineer required to work a key iron ore project
• Well regarded engineering and project delivery consultant
• Will be working in a multi discipline project team of approx 35 members
• Lead a small team of engineers and designers and spearhead the development of your team.
• Provide technical leadership and advice during all different stages of the project lifecycle starting from feasibility studies and design strategies to construction and commissioning.
• Produce tender documentation, design documentation, specifications, and project deliverables.
• Apply a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles to create and deliver practical and economical solutions that meet client requirements.
• Coordinate the production of documentation, specifications, and project deliverables within agreed project timeframes and budget.
• Able to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders
• Perth CBD based
• Initial 12 month contract with strong chance of extension
• Competitive hourly rate offered

Key criteria:

• Formal Civil Engineering qualifications that are recognised by Engineers Australia
• Previous consultant engineering background
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience as well as possessing a strong technical civil engineering background
• Strong experience working on civil engineering projects within the mining industry.
• Previous experience leading and guiding small civil engineering teams. Good understanding of budgets and schedules
• Excellent stakeholder skills and the ability to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong reporting and project documentation skills
• Excellent safety attitude and knowledge of industry guidelines
