About the Role
Join a collaborative engineering squad with a supportive management team that leads a grows their staff. This company has an enormous pipeline of work focusing on Commercial, Residential, Government and Healthcare projects.
The responsibilities of this role are to deliver a wide range of projects including preparation of concept design, detailed design, tender/construction documentation and construction phase support within the agreed timeframe and budget.
• Prepare high-level project budget estimates upon the client requests
• Deliver high-quality technical design within scope, timeframe and budget
• Review vendor/manufacturers documentation
• Conduct value engineering (VE) exercises on projects. Always design with value in mind
• Ensure designs are in line with the relevant Australian standards and building code of Australia/NCC
• Manage the project team including all other required disciplines. (Electrical, Fire, Hydraulic and Mechanical Services)
• Set up a project kick off meeting with your team to ensure everyone understands the scope, deliverables, budgets and risk.
Key Criteria
As the successful candidate for the role of Mechanical Engineer Buildings, you will meet the following criteria;
• Minimum 3-5 years post-graduate experience working within a building services consultancy
• Strong project management and multidisciplinary services coordination
• Highly developed proficiency in mechanical design especially for the building services industry in line with the NCC / BCA and the relevant AS Standards
• Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering- minimum bachelor's degree in engineering
• CPEng, NER and RPEQ certification will be highly advantageous
