OverviewOur client is seeking a technically capable and agile Study Lead to support the company's growth and expansion across its various mining operations. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on professional who can move fluidly between study and execution while contributing to the broader growth strategy. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a high-performing, entrepreneurial team focused on turning ideas into operating mines-quickly, efficiently, and with commercial discipline.Key ResponsibilitiesLead comprehensive feasibility studies, aligning technical, infrastructure, and financial elements of mine development. Understand the resource and deposit.Oversee and guide inputs across geology, hydrogeology, pit design, engineering, and infrastructureDrive mining cycle optimisation across drilling, haulage, and processingAssess infrastructure requirements including haulage and port logisticsAnalyse mining fleet strategy and production scalabilityDevelop trade-offs to improve cost efficiency across the operational cycleWork with internal and external stakeholders to align technical studies with business goalsSupport the transition from study phase to execution, including project management and deliveryTechnical RequirementsStrong grounding in geology, mine planning, and infrastructure designStrong background in mining studies, particularly in iron ore or similar commodities.Experience with resource evaluation and understanding of orebody dynamicsAbility to analyse fleet configuration and haulage strategiesFamiliarity with cost modelling, scheduling, and risk evaluation in a mining contextCommercial mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just process.Ideal Candidate Profile7+ years' experience in mining or related studiesDemonstrated experience in feasibility studies and/or project optimisationStrong grasp of pit-to-port project phases: geology, mine design, hydro, infrastructureComfortable with ambiguity, fast-changing priorities, and lean team environmentsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsDynamic and energetic individual wo can work independently and take ownershipCurious, commercially aware, and eager to understand the full business value chainWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary package: $2100,000 - $230,000 incl. superOpportunity to transition into execution phase post-studyExposure to full life-of-project responsibilities - from concept to deliveryCollaborate and learn directly from key decision-makers within the businessCareer progression aligned with company growthA non-bureaucratic culture that values accountability, learning, and initiativeOur clientThis ASX-listed junior mining company is a highly ambitious and successful operator of a high-grade, high-margin iron ore mine in Western Australia's Mid-West.
