We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support a major expansion project across fixed plant operations. The position will play a key role in building maintenance strategies, managing defects, and supporting reliability across critical assets such as crushers, conveyors, mills, thickeners, and pumping systems.

- 8/6 Roster, 12-hour days
- 6-month ongoing contract
- Competitive hourly rate offered
- Fly from Perth , Brisbane or Darwin
- Bachelors in mechanical engineering or relevant trade background.
- Ideally have 4 - 8 years experience in mineral processing mining operations.
- Experience with fixed plant equipment: conveyors, ball mills, CIL tanks, large pumps.
- Experience with Shaft and Hoisting would be an advantage
- Familiar with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with maintenance systems (SAP/CMMS) and shutdown management.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team coordination.
- Knowledge of mechanical safety standards and statutory compliance.
- Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, ball mills, CIL tanks, and large pumps.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions to minimise downtime.
- Scope, plan, and support shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and drive process or equipment improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, statutory requirements, and proper documentation.
- Coordinate vendors, and manage resources for maintenance projects.
