Role Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Emergency Services Officer to join there Health, Safety & Training (HST) team on site. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating and executing all aspects of mine site emergency response, including providing Industrial Medical Services and training for our Emergency Response Team (ERT). You will also assist with general HST team functions across our operations and leases, ensuring the workforce remains safe, compliant, and well-supported.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum Cert IV in Health Care
• Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue or Cert III Public Safety- Fire and Emergency
• BG4 Certification
• Formal qualification in drug and alcohol testing
• Australian manual drivers' licence- MR or HR Licence
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within the mining industry
• Emergency Response underground experience
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a high degree of emotional intelligence
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, and operate safely in a team environment

Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and facilitate emergency response systems and ERT training on site
• Maintain and ensure readiness of all emergency response equipment
• Provide first aid and industrial medical services as required
• Manage Medical Centre supplies and maintain drug registers in compliance with legislation
• Administer S4 & S8 medications per company protocols
• Promote health and safety through strong working relationships with managers and personnel
• Support compliance, reporting, and governance with regulatory bodies
• Lead by example in SH&E, including PPE use, reporting hazards, and participating in safety meetings
