Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manage work programs to safely deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
Oversee scope, cost, schedule, quality, and resources throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and design to full EPCM.
Plan and program works, preparing, monitoring, and updating plans, and adhering to weekly and monthly schedules.
Engage with internal stakeholders, including engineering and design teams, to ensure alignment with project objectives, scope, and progress.
Interpret engineering designs, collaborating across teams to develop effective technical solutions.
Maintain project tracking, report status updates, and escalate major issues to leadership promptly.
Analyze complex issues and develop strategies to deliver solutions.
Identify risks and opportunities, ensuring visibility among stakeholders and implementing relevant mitigation controls.
Facilitate and participate in project review meetings.
Proactively engage and collaborate with clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong, respectful relationships.
Apply knowledge of relevant contractual and legislative requirements to projects.

Key Tasks/Duties

Assisting the Project Manager and Discipline leads
Project Engineering - Procurement, project planning, project scheduling, writing up scope of works, project and cost control on various projects and various phases.
Support the project managers by provision of timely and accurate discipline related information, analysis and recommended actions to meet project objectives
Ensuring that work carried out meets the quality managing guidelines of the company
Interfacing with sub-consultants to ensure discipline integration

Skills and Qualifications

Holds tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Has 5+ years of post-graduate engineering experience in similar roles within the mineral resource, materials handling, or energy sectors.
Experience in civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure is preferable.
Proficient in computer skills, including the Microsoft Suite and MS Projects; CAD and/or GIS experience is a plus.
Demonstrates leadership, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness.
Exhibits excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Can work independently, organize and prioritize demands, and manage multiple complex tasks.
Knowledgeable in project financial management, forecasting, and contracts management functions.
Familiar with scheduling and cost control systems.
Motivated and energetic team player.


Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering ·
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Programs (Word,Excel, Outlook, etc.)


Experience

Demonstrated 5 years' experience in the mining sector covering detailed specification of Project management and management of design scope .
