Role Opportunity
FIFO Reliability Engineer (Mechanical) to support the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) team for an initial 8-week contract, working on a 4 days on / 3 days off roster in the Pilbara region of WA. The successful candidate will assist the existing mechanical and reliability engineering team with the completion of outstanding actions and general reliability engineering duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated experience in a reliability engineering role, ideally within mining HME operations
• Rio Tinto HME experience highly regarded
• Strong understanding of reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support closure of reliability and maintenance action items
• Assist in root cause analysis and defect elimination initiatives
• Provide engineering input into maintenance strategies and tactics
• Conduct reliability data analysis and reporting
• Engage with site teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
