Senior Control Systems Engineer
Role Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join a leading Perth-based engineering consultancy delivering control systems projects to the mining, mineral processing, and infrastructure sectors. This position offers involvement across the full project lifecycle, from design and programming through to commissioning and optimisation, on a mix of brownfield and greenfield sites.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience in mining projects or operations within Australia
• Background in project delivery for a systems integrator, OEM, or EPCM
• PLC programming proficiency (Rockwell, Schneider, GE/Emerson)
• SCADA programming experience (Citect, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, Cimplicity)
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and develop control system designs
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills
Desirable Skills
• Experience with bulk materials handling and mineral processing plants
• Knowledge of mobile machines such as stackers, reclaimers, and shiploaders
• Familiarity with IT/OT network design, virtualised environments, and advanced Microsoft applications
• Additional programming skills (VBA, Powershell, C, Python)
• Functional safety qualifications or experience
Duties & Responsibilities
• Design, program, and commission PLC and SCADA systems
• Deliver process plant and materials handling control solutions
• Perform FAT, site commissioning, and system optimisation
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
• Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and functional specifications
