Essential Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Designer on large-scale mining or resources projects
- Strong background in- Transfer and raw water pump stations, Overland piping systems, Pipe rack layouts and support design, P&IDs and PFDs development and review, 3D piping models and general arrangement drawings
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant, Navisworks, or similar)
- Sound understanding of mechanical and piping design standards for water and process systems
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced project environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate mechanical and piping design deliverables for pump stations, pipelines, and associated infrastructure
- Prepare and review P&IDs, PFDs, and 3D piping models to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications
- Support design integration across civil, structural, electrical, and process disciplines
- Provide input to layout optimization, constructability, and design reviews
- Contribute to the detailed design phase and support through procurement and early construction stages
- Ensure highest compliance, safety requirements, and quality expectations
