- Mechanical Degree qualified
- 5+ Years in a similar role at Senior level
- Client-side background, sustaining capital
- Experience leading small teams
- Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance within mining or heavy industry
- Strong preference for gold or other hard rock mineral processing.
- Experience with crushing, conveying and coarse ore handling is desirable
- Fault finding, trouble shooting and Root Cause Analysis'
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reliability tools and techniques
- Full working rights in Australia
Duties & Responsibilities
This dynamic role involves working across a broad range of fixed plant equipment, with a strong focus on the ore processing plant, including milling, classification, gravity concentration, flotation circuits, cyanide treatment, and thickening.
- Act as Statutory Supervisor under Section 26 of WGS (Mines Regulations) 2022, ensuring compliance and safety of all activities and personnel under your control
- Lead and support maintenance engineering efforts through technical fault finding, failure analysis, and development of scopes and repair methodologies
- Drive safety culture through visible field leadership and ensure adherence to legislation, site, and Australian standards
- Identify and mitigate key mechanical breakdown risks, while delivering cost-effective, standards-compliant engineering solutions
- Mentor graduate engineers and students, support shutdowns, and manage project tracking and issue escalation within the team
