Role Opportunity
This key technical role within the Reliability team supports the Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Superintendent - Reliability, you'll provide expert solutions to complex equipment issues and support maintenance crews, directly influencing plant performance.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Mechanical Degree qualified
  • 5+ Years in a similar role at Senior level
  • Client-side background, sustaining capital
  • Experience leading small teams
  • Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance within mining or heavy industry
  • Strong preference for gold or other hard rock mineral processing.
  • Experience with crushing, conveying and coarse ore handling is desirable
  • Fault finding, trouble shooting and Root Cause Analysis'
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reliability tools and techniques
  • Full working rights in Australia

Duties & Responsibilities
This dynamic role involves working across a broad range of fixed plant equipment, with a strong focus on the ore processing plant, including milling, classification, gravity concentration, flotation circuits, cyanide treatment, and thickening.
  • Act as Statutory Supervisor under Section 26 of WGS (Mines Regulations) 2022, ensuring compliance and safety of all activities and personnel under your control
  • Lead and support maintenance engineering efforts through technical fault finding, failure analysis, and development of scopes and repair methodologies
  • Drive safety culture through visible field leadership and ensure adherence to legislation, site, and Australian standards
  • Identify and mitigate key mechanical breakdown risks, while delivering cost-effective, standards-compliant engineering solutions
  • Mentor graduate engineers and students, support shutdowns, and manage project tracking and issue escalation within the team
