Essential qualifications and skills;
- Proven experience as a P6 Planner, ideally with mining or major infrastructure projects.
- Project site experience (essential).
- Strong understanding of earned value principles, including key quantities, hours, and performance planning/tracking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse site teams.
- Ability to work on a 2:2 roster in a back-to-back capacity with the surface infrastructure planner.
- Experience in advanced project phases, with capability to drive performance through to project completion (end 2026).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Deliver detailed planning, scheduling and progress reporting using Primavera P6 for surface infrastructure works.
- Work in a back-to-back (2:2) roster with the site-based surface infrastructure planner, ensuring seamless handover and continuity of planning activities.
- Monitor, track, and report on earned value metrics, including key quantities, hours, and performance indicators.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to update schedules and identify potential delays or risks.
- Contribute to accurate forecasting and progress claims through effective tracking and analysis of project data.
- Support the team in aligning schedules with construction priorities and resource availability.
- Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and smooth project execution.
