Role Opportunity:
Join a leading consultancy that partners with top-tier contractors and clients across the resources, infrastructure, and construction sectors. We are seeking a Senior Planner to provide expert project planning and controls support across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects, including earthworks, roads, rail, and infrastructure developments. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules, supporting tender planning, and driving best practice project control processes within a collaborative team environment.

Essential Skills and Requirements:
• Demonstrated contractor-side experience in project planning and controls
• Strong tender planning background
• Solid construction or engineering experience within infrastructure or resources projects
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt to varied project environments
• Background in earthworks, roads, rail, or mine infrastructure projects
• Exposure to both small and medium-scale projects ($1M-$500M)
• Experience across multiple project types and sectors
Duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Support tender submissions with robust and realistic planning inputs
• Analyse project progress, identify variances, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of schedule, cost, and scope
• Provide expert planning advice and assist in developing project control strategies
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and what-if scenarios as required
• Contribute to continual improvement of planning processes within the consultancy
