We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical to lead the delivery of a turnkey bulk air and refrigeration package for a major gold project. This includes overseeing surface infrastructure works across SMP and E&I disciplines.
This is a client-side position working within an experienced owner's team. You'll be responsible for managing both the consultancy and the contractor, ensuring project objectives are met across safety, schedule, cost, and quality.

Benefits
- Perth based role transitioning to site for construction
- 2/2 or 2/1 Roster.
- Day rate $1450 - $1550.00 inclusive of super, depends on level of experience
- 12-month ongoing contract
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary packages in mining or heavy industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of piping systems and a working understanding of electrical scopes
- Experience managing contractor and consultant performance
- Ventilation and refrigeration experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Oversee the execution of the bulk air and refrigeration package, including all related SMP and E&I works
- Act as the primary interface between the client and external consultants/contractors
- Coordinate project delivery to ensure alignment with design, budget, schedule, and safety standards
- Provide technical input on mechanical and piping scopes; liaise with electrical team members as required
- Support integration of satellite infrastructure with the main processing plant
- Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Report regularly to the project manager and broader leadership team
