- Senior Project Engineer - Civil required for a key iron ore project.
- Project: Development Feasibility Study, Involves Detailed Design and Construction Package Development for a new Deposit to sustain mining tonnes at the Mine. The scope involves the development of Haul Roads (including an HME overpass and land bridge) LV Roads, in-pit NPI infrastructure, water supply, 33kV power and communications infrastructure.
- Initial 12 month contract with good chance of extension as the project will move into the execution phase.
- Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve problems including minimizing risk and delay.
- Ensure the project deliverables and documentation meet client requirements and the specified engineering standards.
- Monitor progress and identify potential problems in respect to budgets, schedules, and engineering standards;
- Develop and implement project controls and specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
- Perth CBD based
- Competitive hourly rate offered
Key Criteria
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in project engineering.
- Owner side or EPCM experience required
- Experience working in the mining project environment.
- Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and undertakes tasks with diligence and attention to the necessary detail.
- Strong understanding of Project Contracting Strategy and ability to formulate execution strategies for Contracting.
- Ability to scope various discipline construction packages, tender, evaluate and write recommendations for award.
- Strong knowledge of the local market and key players.
- Demonstrable background in awarding and managing contractor performance onsite.
