The Senior Health and Safety Advisor plays a key role in supporting and mentoring teams to ensure effective implementation of the project's HSE management system and strategic safety objectives.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Qualification in WHS/OHS
• Construction Induction
• Advanced First Aid
• Strong contractor management and field leadership skills
• Ability to influence behaviours and drive safety culture across all project levels
• Confident in high-pressure environments with solid problem-solving ability
• Well-organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills
• Effective communicator with proven conflict resolution experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide HSE expertise and practical guidance to project and contractor teams
• Lead positive safety interactions, mentoring, and coaching across site
• Support alignment with safety systems, legislation, and best practices
• Assist in incident investigations and monitor corrective actions
• Facilitate risk assessments and safety workshops
• Guide stakeholders on HSE compliance and system use
• Promote safety culture and lead key initiatives and programs
• Monitor safety performance, analyse trends, and report findings
• Model safe behaviours and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
