About the Role:

• Client side Senior Civil Engineer required with strong mining background required.
• Global minerals company with expertise in exploration, development, mining, processing, marketing and rehabilitation.
• Focus on design reviews, preparation of civil engineering standards, critically analysing design - taking into account cost effectiveness, constructability, risk
• Providing client support to engineering consultants, quality assurance on technical documentation
• Interfacing with internal resources, and third parties to ensure individual project scope packages are developed and delivered to the approved project scope, cost, and time targets.
• :iaise closely with other project functional groups, in particular project controls and contracts and procurement to ensure the effective transfer of engineering information to the project team and external vendors, consultants, and contractors.
• Preparing various engineering and project reports
• Strong technical background of roads, earthworks, drainage and associated civil infrastrcture.
• Permanent staff role
• Perth CBD based with ad hoc site visits

Key Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Previous client side/owner side background benefical
• Strong technical background in Civil Engineering - bulk earthworks, roads, drainage and associated civil infrastructure
• Good understanding of concept and detailed civil engineering design deliverables
• Mining project experience.
• Need to be able to develop perform design reviews, prepare civil engineering standards, critically analyse design - taking into account cost effectiveness, constructability, risk.
• Able to liaise with design consultants and different internal teams
• Strong report writing skills
• Strong background of industry guidelines and design standards.
