- Growing locally owned Structural Engineering consultant servicing the residential and commercial sector
- Seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with expertise in residential and commercial projects.
- Responsibilities include producing and evaluating detailed structural designs using SpaceGass for both residential and commercial projects.
- Involves preparing and reviewing technical documentation, reports, and specifications related to structural design activities.
- Responsible for generating calculations and design drawings for construction purposes.
- Oversee and approve engineering deliverables within the discipline stream, ensuring quality assurance and control.
- Manage major and minor design projects from inception to completion.
- Play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding junior engineers on design matters.
- Based in the Northern Suburbs, with complimentary on-site parking available. Only ad hoc site inspections is required.
- Flexible work-from-home options are provided.
- The position is a full-time permanent staff role.

Key Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in structural design, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations.
- Previous residential and commercial project experience
- Thorough understanding of local building practices.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external clients, both on-site and in the office.
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software, preferably Spacegass and the Inducta suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality work within specified deadlines.
- Professional registration such as CPEng or equivalent is desirable.
