Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Chartered Professional Engineer status or working toward it preferred).
- 1015 years' experience in structural design and delivery within the buildings sector.
- Proven track record leading buildings projects; such as commercial offices, residential towers, education, health, or civic buildings.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Standards, construction methodologies, and local industry practices.
- Proficiency in structural design software (ETABS, RAM Concept, RAPT, SpaceGass, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing engineering teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the structural design and delivery of building projects from concept through to construction.
- Provide technical leadership across reinforced concrete, structural steel, and post-tensioned design solutions.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with architects, developers, and project managers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Oversee project budgets, resourcing, and schedules to ensure commercial and delivery performance.
- Prepare fee proposals, design documentation, and technical reports.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and drafters, fostering a culture of technical excellence and teamwork.
- Actively contribute to business development, networking, and client engagement within the WA property and construction sector.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across other offices to deliver integrated project outcomes.
