Role Opportunity:
Well regarded international structural steel contractor and fabricator, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer / Structural Project Engineer to join their Perth team.

This is a key role focused on Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), where you will play a critical part in shaping structural steel solutions during the early design and planning phases of major projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Approx 10+ years' + experience in structural engineering
• Experience across both consultancy and contractor/client environments
• Strong exposure to commercial or infrastructure projects (e.g. high-rise, large-span structures, shopping centres, hospitals etc)
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status
• Solid understanding of design processes integrated with project delivery
• Strong knowledge of scoping, tendering, procurement, contracts, materials, scheduling, and quality
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage builders, architects, and consultants
• Confidence in presenting and contributing to technical and commercial discussions
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Duties & Responsibilities:
Working closely with Tier 1 contractors and multidisciplinary project teams, you will provide technical and commercial input to optimise structural outcomes across a range of complex projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with Tier 1 contractors and stakeholders during ECI phases
• Reviewing and optimising structural steel designs for efficiency and constructability
• Providing technical expertise on complex and large-scale steel structures
• Participating in technical discussions with client-side engineering teams
• Contributing to early-stage design decisions with a strong focus on value engineering
• Representing the contractor's perspective in high-level project discussions
