Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive feasibility studies, aligning technical, infrastructure, and financial elements of mine development. Understand the resource and deposit.
- Oversee and guide inputs across geology, hydrogeology, pit design, engineering, and infrastructure
- Drive mining cycle optimisation across drilling, haulage, and processing
- Assess infrastructure requirements including haulage and port logistics
- Analyse mining fleet strategy and production scalability
- Develop trade-offs to improve cost efficiency across the operational cycle
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to align technical studies with business goals
- Support the transition from study phase to execution, including project management and delivery
- Strong grounding in geology, mine planning, and infrastructure design
- Strong background in mining studies, particularly in iron ore or similar commodities.
- Experience with resource evaluation and understanding of orebody dynamics
- Ability to analyse fleet configuration and haulage strategies
- Familiarity with cost modelling, scheduling, and risk evaluation in a mining context
- Commercial mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just process.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 7+ years' experience in mining or related studies
- Demonstrated experience in feasibility studies and/or project optimisation
- Strong grasp of pit-to-port project phases: geology, mine design, hydro, infrastructure
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-changing priorities, and lean team environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Dynamic and energetic individual wo can work independently and take ownership
- Curious, commercially aware, and eager to understand the full business value chain
- Competitive salary package: $2100,000 - $230,000 incl. super
- Opportunity to transition into execution phase post-study
